Veteran’s Day Tomorrow

And, guess who is going to be in the ceremony?  Sweetie 2!  🙂  This is her 3rd year in AFJRROTC  and she is really looking forward to leading her unit.  Each year the veterans in our area are honored at the ceremony and there are still men from World War 2 and the Korean war  who come.

I was watching her march last night and my mama heart was so proud of her.  She is thinking about her future now  and has decided she wants to go to the police academy. I think this will be a very good fit for her. 🙂
They are growing up!!!
Sweetie 1 is a senior, and Sweetie’s 2 and 3 are Jr’s.  Sweetie 4 is a freshman… Oh my…..time has gone so FAST!

Wow! My brother in law is a police guy and he always has crazy stories to tell. I hope sweetie two can do it!

She has been wanting to go into the Army since 7th grade. She recently changed her mind as her 17th birthday is approaching and that was when she was planning to sign. I think eventually she’d like to work in counseling, but loves the idea of police work. Who knows where the Lord will take her and what he will prepare her to do. It is exciting to have your whole life ahead of you, and to start making plans. 🙂

Sergei was in Army Cadets for a few years, and it was such a great program for him. I’m glad she’s involved and loving it!

My brother-in-law wanted to be Army too but was not allowed for medical reasons 🙁
We are thankful that he can be local police and that we get to see him all the time!

Exciting, indeed. ROTC as a high schooler was totally off my radar until I read your post. Interesting.

Can you share a few ways that she (or anybody) has benefitted?
Is it time consuming? Is it built into her high school academic day?

There are very few groups of people that I respect more than anybody, in any capacity, for any amount of time, than the people who serve our country. Thank you, Lord , for placing this desire in A.’s heart.

Comments warmly welcomed!
